Youngest daughter of Gen. Sir Henry Percival de Bathe, 4th Bart., KCB, DL, JP., and Dame Charlotte Clare (ca 1841 - 1928).
Phyllis de Bathe, on behalf of the Red Cross, opened a hospital in Great Yarmouth, known as the Crossley Hospital; after a zeppelin raid,the hospital transferred to Cheveley Park (her sister Winifred McCalmont's house), near Newmarket, until 1917.
As a widow, she moved to Sidmouth in Devon, then in 1946 moved to Newmarket and then in September 1948 moved to a flat in Buckingham Gate, London. She died after a short illness and was cremated in London.
