Book Extract states:

Clement B Chevallier's eldest survivng son, Temple, was born at Aspall in 1731. He first was sent to school at Monk, Soham, near his home "a wig" being included in the inventory of the attire sent with him. Afterwards to Dedham School, and thence to Magdalene College, Cambridge. In 1753 he was fifth Senior Optical in the Mathematical Tripos, and subsequently become a fellow of the College.

A memorial in Aspall Church reads:

Sacred to the memory

of Temple Chevallier Clerk MA

and of

Mary his wife

He died August XXIV MDCCCIV Aged LXXIII

She died November VII MDCCCVII Aged LXII
