| b Cosford, Shropshire Baptised at St.-Mary-le-Strand, London September 1956. Educated at Edgbaston High School for Girls, Birmingham, the Friary Grange Comprehensive School, Lichfield in Staffordshire, Oxford Polytechnic - Diploma in Book Publishing (1975-77), the City of London Polytechnic - Senior Secretarial course with French (1980-81), and the Open University - 3 years of a BA (Hons) degree (1992-1996). 1962-63 attended Peabody School, Cambridge, Mass., USA. Member of the Lichfield Orchestra 1973-74 (flautist). Performed in Cheltenham Music Festival 1973. Attended Anne Godden Secretarial College, 1977. 1978-83 held temporary secretarial posts with IPC Magazines, New Scientist Magazine and the Daily Telegraph in London, combined with summer working (1979) as a courier for Canvas Holidays Ltd taking charge of a camp site near Biarritz (1980) and working in a hotel for two summers (1982 and 1983) at the Gavrion Beach Hotel on the Cycladian island of Andros, Greece. In 1983 joined Sphere Paperbacks Ltd., London as PA to the Managing Director, and in 1985 joined Executive Search Consultants, Fisher Dillistone & Associates, London as PA to Consultant, Jim Fisher. 1986 moved to Brighton. PA to MD of Hubbard Ford Partnership (Architects), and then joined Brighton Council in the Tourism Department, starting in the Tourist Information Centre, and moving to the Destination Marketing Unit, working as Sales & Marketing Executive and then Marketing Manager responsible for Creative Projects. 2006: set up Sarah Gibbs Creative Communications, offering freelance skills including project management in design & print and online web marketing projects, web content writing, and copywriting. 2011: trained as a Nia dance teacher and now combines freelance working with teaching Nia. Moved to Staffordshire 2011. 1 son, Charlie Geoffrey Gibbs, by partner (1984-1986) Geoffrey Charles Henny. |
