| b Kimberley, South Africa d 10 Hans Crescent, London Our picture shows Minnie Eckstein who was a descendant of famous British Prime Ministers, Pitt the Elder and Pitt the younger, with her younger son, Ludwig in 1893/94. Ludwig was killed in action in East Africa in 1916. Minnie's memorial service was held at 11.30 on 17th March 1936 at St. Bartholemew's, Smithfield, London EC1 where a flagstone in the main aisle is inscribed "Minnie Diana Cobbold died 1936" |
