From Extract of the Book: The Rev Charles Henry Chevallier, MA, of Trinity College, Oxford, son by his third wife, succeeded the Rev John Chevalier At Aspall Church there is a plaque to Charles Henry Chevallier, it reads: In Memory of Charles Henry Chevallier M.A. incumbent of this parish for 36 years Honorary Canon of Norwich Cathedral Rural Dean of Hartismere, Justice of the peace for the county of Suffolk, Chairman of the Board of Guardians of the Hartismere Union for 24 years. Born July 17th 1823. Died May 8th 1885. Beloved and respected for his simple integrity genial benevolence and Christian demeanor he was called to rest in the midst of his useful labours. This Tablet is erected at the same time a Prize founded at the Grammer School Eye by his many friends as a memorials of their sense of his worth. Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see GOD.
