| b 11 Herbert Crescent, Knightsbridge d London Aka John Loder John's father was W H M Lowe a career army officer who became a general. John was ADC to his father when he accepted Patrick Pearse's surrender to end the 1916 Easter Rising in Dublin. He fought in WWI being take prisoner in 1918. After the war he stated in Germany accepting small parts in German films. He moved between London and Hollywood making the best part of 100 films. He married and divorced 5 times having a total of 5 Children. His wives were Alba Julia Lagomarsino (1958-1972); Evelyn Auff Mordit (1949-1955); Hedy Lamarr (1943-1947) (3 children); Micheline Cheirel (1936-1941) (1 daughter) and Sophie Kabel (dates uncertain). |
