| d Killed in Action, Bapaume, France Walter was born on 21st May 1887 and was baptised at Chascomus on 27th April 1887 (?). When WWI broke out he was the manager of Redcliffe Station in Queensland. He joined the Australian Expeditionary Force as an artilleryman and was commissioned into 28th Infantry Brigade. he was killed in action at Bapaume, Amiens, France. His medals are in the trust archive. He is buried in grave E.F.3 Franvillers Communal Cemetery Extension. Another record says he was killed at Morlancourt, France. |
