| b Suffolk d Canada The Stricklands originated from Southwold in Suffolk. The Major married firstly, in 1825 in London, Emma Black who was born in 1805 but died the year after her marriage. Their son, Richard born in 1826 (perhaps his mother died in childbirth) also died three years later. Maj. Strickland married thirdly in Norfolk in 1855, Katherine Rackham (1806-1890). |
