| b Beckenham, Kent Richard rose to the rank of Colonel in the Army serving with the Royal Engineers, latterly on the Staff and much concerned with MOD buildings and building maintenance. He left the Army in 2009 to undergo training and was ordained Deacon in Guildford Cathedral on 3rd July 2011 and Priest on 30th June 2012. He is currently (July 2013) Assistant Curate at St Peter's, Farnborough (in the Diocese of Guildford) where Yvonne, his wife of 37 years is both a Pastoral Assistant and an Administrative Assistant.
