| b Clapham, Surrey Noel was educated at Felsted School from May 1894 to July 1898 in Mont House. He represented the school in the Inter-Schools Foils which he won in 1897. Noel inherited a substantial fortune from his aunt, Mary Elizabeth Hartley / Johnson / Stapleton / Tapson (1833-1918). His wife was already very wealthy when they married in 1930. He left most of his money to Cecelia and even when she died her estate was still substantial. |
