| b London Distinguished War Hero; served in Consulate at Sinkiang, China; member of MI6 and MP for Inverness. Known as Col. "Billy"McLean, he was a distinguished war hero, most famous for having directed guerrilla warfare behind enemy lines in Albania as one of several teams parachuted in by Special Operations Executive (SOE). At the end of the war, he served in the Consulate in Sinkiang, China. He then joined MI6 to work on operations against Enver Hoxha. In 1954, he became MP for Inverness for a decade. |
