| b Paddington, London d (3rd Qtr) Cheltenham, Gloucestershire Mary was the daughter of William Gurney (1802-1876) and Mary Wood Brice (1808-1880). Mary Prescod and the Colonel had 3 children: Mary Evelyn born in Cheltenham in 1854; Fenwick Bulmer born also in Cheltenham on 6th September 1856 and Ada Maud born in Cheltenham in 1860 The announcement of Mary's marriage in the London Morning Post dated 27th June 1853 stated that Mary was also the adopted daughter of the late William Hinds Prescod Esq. and Mrs Prescod of Alstone Lawn, near Cheltenham. |
