His parents were Algernon Hay Lushington born 29th September 1847 in Hampshire who died 13th September 1930 on the Isle of Wight and Effie Lilian Newall (1860-1946). His parents had married on the Isle of Wight in 1881. His father had been married before on 2nd April 1872 to Emma Jane Castleman who was born in Middlesex in 1852 and died on the Isle of Wight on 4th october 1879. There were 2 children of this marriage. Algernon Hay Lushington played three games of first class cricket for Hampshire between 1870 and 1877. |
