| b Stowmarket, Suffolk d Ipswich, Suffolk Examination of entry no. 123 of the St. Mary Key (sometimes Quay) Church, Ipswich, 1813 to 1837 Register of Marriages which records the marriage by Licence of John Edge Daniel (#4328), single man, and Mary Aldrich (#4327), single woman on 1st January 1830 shows that the Officiating Minister was Rev. Spencer Cobbold (#69) and that no less than 14 family members signed the register. These included Mary's father, John Aldrich (#87); her brother, John Cobbold Aldrich (#3778); her sister, Sarah Elizabeth Aldrich (#4329); her cousin, Harriet Cobbold (#132) and Rev. Thomas Cobbold (#51) father of Rev. Spencer Cobbold. Also signing, but not identified on the family tree, were William H Daniel, Elizabeth Edge Daniel, Ann Daniel, Walter Daniel, Laetitia G Daniel, Marian (?) Daniel, Peter F E Daniel, Henry Aldrich and A J Aldrich. The use of 'Quay' would be justified by the church's proximity to the docks and that of 'Key' by the fact that it stands on Key Street.
