| b Hendon, Middlesex d Eastbourne, Sussex Joan's death aged 19 "from a disease for which modern science knew no cure" is recorded in a short article in the Hastings and St Leonards Observer of Saturday, 16th November 1935. The article refers to Mr Julius Harrison, director of the (Hastings) Municipal Orchestra and says he had lost his elder daughter. She died in an Eastbourne nursing home on 13th November and was cremated at Brighton on 15th November, when mourners included her parents and grandmother, Mrs Eddison.
