| b Elmhurst, Cobham d (Buried St. James, Abinger Common, Surrey, 18th Nov. 2013) Helen's father was William Wood Leuchars, a barrister, born 1872 and died 18th April 1955 in Surrey. Her mother was Gwendoline Evelyn Flemming born 29th February 1886 and died in Horsham, Surrey in 1981. Helen was educated at Farlington House, Haywards Heath. She worked as a home help in Yokohama, Japan for a while returning home on 28th February 1936 on the passenger ship "Rajputana" which was subsequently sunk by a torpedo in April 1941. |
