| b Havant, Hampshire d Devon (Central) Major Bigg-Wither became a Freemason 19.09.1910 until 1921 in St. Clair Lodge, Landport (Portsea Island). He was an engineer for the King of Siam in 1907 and possibly as early as 1905. When he came back he joined the Sherwood Foresters as a pioneer officer in 1914 transferring later to the DCLI. He was the son of Edward Julian Bigg-Wither born 9 1837 Hampshire and died 6 1909 London and Charlotte Louise Hurst born 1 12 1861 Broadstairs, Kent and died 1954 Devon. They married 12 1878 Gloucestershire and had four children. In the 1939 Register, Charlotte was a widow living in Kensington, London. Edward Julian Bigg-Wither was the son of Lovelace Bigg-Wither born 1805 Hampshire and died 1874 Brighton, Sussex and Emma Jemima Orde born 1810 Hampshire and died 1901 Brighton. They married 23 7 1829 Hampshire. |
