| b West Wratting Park, Cambridgeshire He won a scholarship to Charterhouse and matriculated at Pembroke College, Cambridge on 23rd October 1911. He occupied the same rooms, Q5 in New Court, throughout his residence. he graduated in the Maths Tripos in 1914. He taught in his father's school at West Wratting for a while; it is understood that his original intention was to become a tutor; but he went to Woolwich and was commissioned into the Royal Engineers. He worked with RE on Radar during WWI |
