| b Mauritius d Kensington, London Daughter of Baron Aquarius Wilhelm Albert Schaffalitzky de Muckadell born 28 8 1785 (Poland ?) and died 10 10 1828 Mauritius and Frances Rankin born 1798 and died 10 10 1820 Mauritius. He was a planter in India. Apart from Frances (Fanny) Wilhelmina, he and his famlily were murdered when she was just a few weeks old. Frances was saved by a nurse and they fled to Calcutta in India. She was seen by a passing doctor called Dr Lyon Playfair who adopted her and brought her up with his own family (some records show Playfair added to Frances Wilhelmina's name). |
