| b Staines, Middlesex Ethel gained her Flying Certificate 14 10 1930 at the London Aeroplane Club in a DH60 X Moth 75 HP Cirrus 11 (for the Military). She must have been one of the many ladies flying planes around the country in WW2. She was the daughter of William Henry Nicholson RN born 13 11 1861 and died 8 2 1932 Surrey and Sibyl Helen Whigham born 1876 and died 1959 Carlisle, Cumberland. They married July 1912 London. |
