Elizabeth is on the left. b.....21.9.1921 in Bombay where father Thomas Sedgewick Gregson was an architect. She came to England aged 4 and was brought up in Sleights & Goathland, North Yorkshire. She attended Badminton School. 1941-42 and 1946-47 Educated at Oxford St Anne's English Honours Degree. Also, Teachers Training at Maria Grey Training College [University of London] Teachers Certificate [A] of the First Class & mark of Distinction Taught for a short time in State schools in Bethnal Green London & in Godstone Surrey. Later on, worked in British Council. Lifelong and self-taught artist in watercolours, oils, lino cut and ink; her 1955 watercolour "Cap Ferrat" is in the Pannett Art Gallery, Whitby. Warrant Officer in the Army Education Corps in Germany in WW2 29.10.1947 Married John Hasted in Goathland. 7.9.1949 Twin daughters. 1st interviewee [at Albert Memorial] on MARCH TO ALDERMASTON 1958 BFIVD717 FREE CINEMA, Narrated by Richard Burton.
