b Ireland d 2 New Vanbrugh Terrace, Blackheath, London In addition to Jane Mary, Eleanor and Sir Edward had 5 children: Alicia Sarah (1810-1891) who married Thomas Ashworth in 1847; Eleanor Hestor (1811-1898) who married Macgregor Laird in 1837; Edwina Anna (1814-1902) who married John Hill Williams in 1853; Elizabeth (1821-1856) who married the educator John Richard Blakiston in1854 and Lieutenant Edward Nicolls RN (1821-1844) who died attempting to save a man's life while serving as first lieutenant of HMS Dwarf. Eleanor died of scalds as a result of an accident with a kettle of boiling water whilst at the home of her son-in-law, John Hill Williams. |
