David and Maria's grave is C46 1/2, Row 8 in the St. Michael's section of St. Sepulchre's Cemetery, Oxford. The Durell family lived at 7 New Inn Hall Street which is now the main entrance to St. Peter's College. This building was the former office of the Oxford Canal Company, built in 1797, that was no longer needed after Canal House in Bulwarks Lane opened in 1829. |
