| General Charles Lutyens (1773-1848) and his mother was Frances Jane Fludger (1789-1850). They had married on 6th May1824. His father was Deputy-Commissionary-General of the Army and spent most of the family money on re-planting Ned's eldest brother's beetle-failed coffee plantation with tea. |
