| Walter James Karran born 1873 in Rochester, Kent. He was schooled at Merchant Taylors' and matriculated at Queens' (Cambridge?) in autumn 1892, proceeding to BA in 1895, ordained Deacon (Ely) in 1896, priest 1898, MA 1899, became curate of St. Luke's, Chesterton, Cambridge, 1896-1902, then Curate of St. Saviour's Sunbury with Upper Sunbury, Middlesex, 1902-1908. He married Margaret Emily M Scott (born 1875 in Ealing) in Stains in the 2nd quarter of 1907. He was Vicar of West Somerton, (near Great Yarmouth) Norfolk 1908-1918 and his daughter Mary Elizabeth was born at Flegg, Norfolk 1st quarter 1917. He died 17th September 1943 and his daughter married within 3 months of his death. |
