| d Christchurch, Ipswich, Suffolk Claudius was baptised at St Swithin's, Cannon Street, London and educated at Queen's College, Cambridge; BA, 1721 and MA, 1725; Cambridge, LL.D. 1734. Rev. Claudius and Anne had eight children: Claudius, Frances Elizabeth, Anne, William, Helena, Peter, Mary Louisa and James. Around 1741, the family moved to the house in Ham that Claudius had inherited on his father's death and another five children were born: Lucy, Charles, Phoebe, Frances Amelia and Cecelia Bunbury. Following his death on 01 12 1784 at Christchurch, Claudius was buried six days later in the same vault as his wife in the chancel of St Margaret's, Ipswich. |
