Charles' sponsors for his baptism on 8th June 1819 at St. Peter's, Colchester were Mrs. Elizabeth Cobbold of Holy Wells and Robert Perry Esq. Charles had whooping cough and measles as a child. Manuscript document says date of death was April 1825 in which case he would have been only 7. This is unlikely to be true as we have a silhouette of him as a young man. |
