| d Shropshire In February 2019 the Trust acquired from Kevin Stanley, at a very preferential price, a miniature Book of Common Prayer printed by the Oxford University Press in 1869. It bears the name A. Thursby-Pelham, discernible under the name of a later owner, E. Green. Thus the original owner is likely to have been Rev. Augustus or his wife Adelaide. On one of the end papers there is a small pencil sketch which incorporates a band and a bow. The feminine nature of the sketch encourages us to lean towards Adelaide as the original owner. |
