Ian and Agnes' children: William Sebastian Glennie born 1934 and died 1994; Edith Rose Glennie born 1936 and Elizabeth Teresa (Tess) Glennie born 1936. Agnes and her second husband Edward have a son Robert E Conrad Clark born 8 1941 Northumberland who married in 1975 Japan to a Japanese lady Hiromi.

Agnes was a Composer and Musician, studying viola and composition at the Royal College of Music (1926-1930) where many of her early compositions were performed. She later produced music for the stage, films and radio as well as chamber and orchestral works. She is credited with bringing the serial technique pioneered by the Austrian Arnold Schoenberg to British music. Among her best known works is a setting of Rimbaud's poem O Saisons O Chateaux (1947) for Soprano and Strings.
